Jack Russell puppy found tied to pole with food bags behind office building given loving furever home with man, saving poor pup from Canadian cold, even though his cat hates the new arrival: ‘I can’t believe anyone would dump such a beautiful sweet baby.’

Canada is no place for a dog to be dumped. Even in the summer time those night time temps can be very harsh and in the winter it is even worse. Sadly, our story today takes place in the depths of winter and with a small sweet doggo who was in no way or shape bred to withstand such temperatures. It is a story of racing against the clock and then controlling the canine racing within their home. But in the end everything works out for the best.

You cold say that other than a Chihuahua, the Jack Russell Terrier is one of the breeds that are least tolerant to cold. No less the cold of Canada. But that is where we meet our sad pupper who had been tied to a pole and left to wait and see if a benevolent hooman would give him the home and heat that he so desperately needed, or if the cold would simply consume him before. It was a true race against time. But as fate would have it, someone was coming to visit their sick partner with a care package. Little did this pawson nor their partner know that the package was about to be vastly expanded and improved.

But what we find most impressive about this tale is not the survival of the pup in the cold nor the benevolence of this hooman to initially offer the pup a home. It is the fact that this person stuck by this pup when it went potty on the floor. They didn't flinch when their cat hissed and swatted at the pup and they did not dare call an animal shelter when the dog started chewing everything. They understood it was their burden to bear. They had chosen it, and so it was their mountain to climb.

Well, that is certainly quite the sweet way to surprise your partner when they are not feeling well. We can only imagine that his partner’s first thought upon opening the door will be ‘I didn’t know you could hire puppies to make yourself feel better?!’. But putting that joy aside for a moment, we cannot ignore how terrible it was that this sweet little thing was left to turn into a solid block of ice. Canada is no joke, especially when they have snow on the ground. Which also means that the horrible hooman who left the dog there was very much aware of the pupper’s potential frozen fate.

Yes, this right here! It is all too easy to put yourself in the position of having a dog in your home. But when your back is up against the wall, you haven’t slept in days, you do not remember what it is to have a quiet and calm home. Those are the moments that test your metal and prove whether you are fit to be pupper pawrent or not. And considering that this hooman is willing to put up with potty issues and a cat who is going to quickly grow to hate him. This person is a saint.
